TEC’s funding policy
Our funding is directed toward infrastructure such as organizational support, technology, and coordination tools, as well as outreach events focused on community building.
Whatever the funding source we adhere to these guiding principles:
Independence in non-negotiable. Funding sources do not influence what we do or what we say.
Transparency is standard. Funders, and their type of support provided, are disclosed publicly.
Credibility matters. We will refuse funding from organizations whose primary business it at odds with the TEC mission.
Diversity of support is critical. A broad base of support, pooled together, reduces outside influence.
